Physical support & management services are among the key benefits of hospice care, but they are just one aspect of the holistic way Golden Rule Hospice supports the health, dignity and well-being of patients and their families.
We provide a range of different support services that go beyond the physical, to also support and heal the mind and spirit.

Social Support
We make sure that our patients are receiving the positive interaction they need at every level of care we offer.Volunteer Support
Our trained volunteers perform a variety of services for the hospice patient. Along with helping us with administrative support, they also work directly with patients, offering companionship, care assistance, spiritual support, pet therapy, art and music therapy, and more.Spiritual Support

Vivian R. Is a treasure. The kindness and care she showed my mother, Ellie Pope, brought comfort to our entire family. She showered mom with beautiful jewelry and always ensured that Mom was well dressed and well accessorized! She was incredibly helpful and very specific about things I could do to help my mom. V Vivian worked so well with our other caregiver and we truly miss her. Unfortunately mom was dismissed from Golden Rule Hospice due to Medicare qualification issues. Thankfully, she still works here at Montclair and is able to visit with mom. As Mom said, I really like her.
Vivian R has been working with my mom, Mrs Boland, for a few months. Vivian is so sweet and patient with my mom who struggles with her memory. Vivian has been a wonderful addition to my mom’s caregiving team and we are thankful for her.

Golden rule hospice is an excellent place to send your loved ones. Me and my father have not had the pleasure, yet. His care at the moment requires a more inpatient treatment. Daniel at Golden rule has still been calling and checking in on us even though we have not use their hospice care at this time. We will be switching to them as soon as possible. Daniel is a good man and deserves blessings in his life.
My Mother is 89 years old. Reggie and Vivian are the best! Reggie connects with my mother Bernice in a special way. He's helpful and personable. He helps me with her medications and addresses any concerns in a timely manner. Vivian is an awesome person who brightenes my mothers day by gently caring for her and seeing about her welfare. We had an incredible experience with Golden Rule! They took care of my dad, Joe Spinks, in Montclair. So many good employees but in particular- Reggie and Vivian R. were exceptional! I will never have the words to properly express how amazing Golden Rule Hospice was taking care of my Dad. Chris and Andre, as well as the entire staff at Golden Rule were perfectly amazing. I had used 4 other agencies before I found Golden Rule. Wish I had found them FIRST.
Golden Rule Hospice is an amazing group of people. They cared, not only for my 95 year old Father, but our whole family. The entire team is wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about them but I need to give a special shout out to a few people. Ebony, who saw my Dad 3 days a week brought such joy, smiles, laughter and light during difficult days. We all looked forward to her visits and she shared her love with all of us. Harlee, his nurse, has such a kind and loving spirit. Her ability to effectively communicate and take the time to discuss options and the best path for Dad was a blessing. Stanley, the Chaplin who saw my Dad, made such a positive impact on our family, he officiated my Dad’s memorial service. They provided support, comfort, a shoulder to cry on and guidance as we navigated saying goodbye to the best man I have ever known. Their support did not end with my Dad’s passing. Weeks later they still call and text to check in to see how we are holding up. There are so many more people behind the scenes that we did not see regularly but whose support and guidance was invaluable. I have never encountered a business who employs such an extraordinary group of people. We were so very lucky to have found them.
Lisa was the absolute best during such a tragic time. She went above and beyond to make sure my stepmom was comfortable and taken care of. She is caring, loving, knowledgeable and the gem we needed. Thank you Lisa for everything you did for my family.

Golden Rule Hospice has been such a blessing to my family. I will be eternally grateful to Vivian Robinson for the exceptional care she has given my 95 year old father and my 93 year old mother. Vivian is a skilled professional who is warm, caring , nurturing and compassionate but most importantly, my parents love her.
Golden Rule is AMAZING! From the first phone call to Bobbi Love, we knew Golden Rule was the right choice for our Mama. Little did we know how awesome Penny Crews and her team would be. What a blessing! Penny became our family. She was so sweet to Mama and would sit and hold Mama’s hand and discuss anything Mama was feeling - from medicines to fears and everything in between. Charlotte was so precious giving Mama her bath and fixing her hair- Mamas favorite thing. Mama loved singing hymns with Regina. Sunday would be our nurse on the weekends and after hours- and what a treasure he was. Mama was in Penny’s (Golden Rule) care for about 6 months until she passed away. Penny came to her visitation. There are no words to describe how much Golden Rule, Penny Crews and her team meant (and still mean) to us and what a positive affect they had on the end of my Precious Mama’s life and on our family. Thank you SOOO MUCH!

She was extremely attentive, caring, and responsive during our time with Golden Rule. She made sure our transition off of hospice was incredibly smooth as well, along with the office staff.
