Everyone on the Golden Rule Hospice team was amazing. For the 90 days our mother was receiving hospice home care, their team members’ communication was excellent. Whether by phone call or text, they always gave us an estimated arrival time and asked if there were any supplies needed so they could make sure they had them on hand. Then there’s the fact that every nurse and CNA was so authentically caring, patient, and willing to answer questions. The nurses would follow up with a summary of their visit, either by text or a phone call—they were very thorough, which helped up keep family updated. In addition to the team that made the visits, there were the weekly check-in calls from volunteers at Golden Rule—I don’t know any other company that does that! Needless to say, we were beyond impressed with their all-around level of professionalism. The family and our mom adored each and every team member, and we’re so grateful for their service in caring for our mom during her final days. We highly recommend this team!

We have been under the care of Golden Rule Hospice for about 10 months for the care of my father who is in Memory Care. The entire staff at Golden Rule has blown us away. They are caring, compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable on this journey we have been thrown into. They are not just going thru the motions, they really care about Dad and we feel they treat him as if he were their own family member. Chris, the hospice nurse is energetic and quick to be proactive with decisions that need to be made on behalf of Dads care. His medical knowledge about dementia and Alzheimer’s is vast. He has guided us thru some tough situations. He obviously has a heart for each of his patients. I have seen him interact with other patients and you can see the love and care pour thru him. Andre our hospice CNA comes in twice a week to bathe, shower, and shave Dad and also gives him loving care. Stanley is the Chaplain and he too is the most loving and kind hearted soul who truly loves serving these wonderful patients. I cannot imagine getting through this without the support of Golden Rule Hospice

But once the staff came to our house to talk to us about hospice and how they help it made it easier. Thank you for an awesome Golden Rule Hospice Team!! This team was prompt with meeting with the lovely Parrialeee Holmes she was very knowledgeable and compassionate. Ms. Vivian touch was so soft , patience, and our mother look forward to seeing her every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Nurse Shamilla was so understanding/patience with our multiple medical questions, she answered the phone after hours, emergency visits, and encourage at our lowest moments. Ms. Elizabeth is the best social worker in the world with timely paperwork, DME, and insurance verification and she will call at 4:30pm on Friday to ensure all our request was meet and anything needed before the weekend. Ms. Elizabeth has the best weekend voice on Fridays!! LOLI would highly recommend Golden Rule Hospice hands down. As, a healthcare professionals these ladies" ROCK". From his thorough explanations to his endless patience and genuine kindness, Quay made an emotionally difficult process so much easier to handle. He was always available to answer questions and made sure we felt supported every step of the way. So, if you don't want excellent customer service and true care for your loved ones, you'll be disappointed here. I can’t express how wonderful the people are at Golden Rule. My husband’s final days and weeks were the worst time of my life. But because of the loving, Christian care he (and I) received, it was full of love and kindness and every kind of help imaginable. I felt completely surrounded with Christian love and support and I know my husband did too. If you find yourself struggling with a seriously ill loved one and do not want to consider a facility but rather, care for them at home, do not call anyone but Golden Rule. You won’t regret it. What a wonderful organization. The team took care of my father for many months in his last days and did a great job. His caregivers, Chris and Sunday, made it so easy for us and for the comfort of my Dad.Then, about 6 months later, they did the same thing for my mother, caring for her with compassion. Honestly…. There aren’t enough words😭 My heart is so full! My mother in law had a very short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed July 18th and passed September 7th! When i realized that treatment would’ve done more harm than good we decided that hospice care at home would be the best decision for her. Tim, Nicole, Shamika, Dionne, Trayonna, & Alexander there aren’t enough words for you guys!!!!!!!!! Golden Rule was the right choice for my mother's home hospice care. From intake through to her passing, the team was very compassionate, knowledgeable, extremely patient, and understanding. Minnie, the nursing aide and Shamille, my mom's nurse, were exceptional and went above and beyond in caring for my mom. They ensured her comfort, cleanliness, peace, and dignity in her final days, and treated our family as an extension of their own. This was an extremely difficult time for me trying to balance being a daughter wanting to make the most of the final time spent with her mom, making the right choices to ensure great care, and handling everyday life responsibilities. Inasmuch as one can be prepared for the inevitable and handling death as a natural part of life, I felt that Golden Rule did their very best to try to support us and to ease the anguish, uncertainties, and ambivalence felt during such a challenging time. I would recommend Golden Rule to others who want home hospice care to feel personal and the humanity of their loved one to be recognized and valued.

Golden Rule Hospice went above and beyond taking care of my 93 year old aunt. From the very beginning when her nurse, Penny, walked into her room I knew I had selected the right hospice company for my aunt. Penny was so compassionate and caring when she came to check on my aunt several times a week. If anything came up, I could call and she would take care of it immediately. I know Penny was there for my aunt but she was also there for me. She would send me texts with encouraging words or scripture or just sometimes just to check on me.Another person that played a key roll in my aunts comfort was her CNA, Ebony. The first day I met her, I once again knew that I had chosen the right hospice company. She was so sweet and kind to my aunt and treated her with the upmost respect. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She came three times a week to help my aunt with her ADL's and my aunt always looked forward to her visits.I am so grateful for these two amazing women along with Stanley, her Chaplin. The entire team is wonderful and was a blessing to me with all of their support and guidance. I would highly recommend Golden Rule and feel so very fortunate that I found them.

Vivian R. Is a treasure. The kindness and care she showed my mother, Ellie Pope, brought comfort to our entire family. She showered mom with beautiful jewelry and always ensured that Mom was well dressed and well accessorized! She was incredibly helpful and very specific about things I could do to help my mom. V Vivian worked so well with our other caregiver and we truly miss her. Unfortunately mom was dismissed from Golden Rule Hospice due to Medicare qualification issues. Golden Rule Hospice is an amazing group of people. They cared, not only for my 95 year old Father, but our whole family. The entire team is wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about them but I need to give a special shout out to a few people. Ebony, who saw my Dad 3 days a week brought such joy, smiles, laughter and light during difficult days. We all looked forward to her visits and she shared her love with all of us. Harlee, his nurse, has such a kind and loving spirit. Her ability to effectively communicate and take the time to discuss options and the best path for Dad was a blessing. Stanley, the Chaplin who saw my Dad, made such a positive impact on our family, he officiated my Dad’s memorial service. They provided support, comfort, a shoulder to cry on and guidance as we navigated saying goodbye to the best man I have ever known. Their support did not end with my Dad’s passing. Weeks later they still call and text to check in to see how we are holding up. There are so many more people behind the scenes that we did not see regularly but whose support and guidance was invaluable. I have never encountered a business who employs such an extraordinary group of people. We were so very lucky to have found them.

Golden Rule is AMAZING! From the first phone call to Bobbi Love, we knew Golden Rule was the right choice for our Mama. Little did we know how awesome Penny Crews and her team would be. What a blessing! Penny became our family. She was so sweet to Mama and would sit and hold Mama’s hand and discuss anything Mama was feeling - from medicines to fears and everything in between. Charlotte was so precious giving Mama her bath and fixing her hair- Mamas favorite thing. Mama loved singing hymns with Regina. Sunday would be our nurse on the weekends and after hours- and what a treasure he was. Mama was in Penny’s (Golden Rule) care for about 6 months until she passed away. Penny came to her visitation. There are no words to describe how much Golden Rule, Penny Crews and her team meant (and still mean) to us and what a positive affect they had on the end of my Precious Mama’s life and on our family.
