I want to thank the Golden Rule Hospice for everything they did for my dad. I have never encountered such kind and wonderful group of people. Especially Chris. He was always attentive, compassionate, and his willingness to respond at any moment in taking care of my dad. You could not have asked for better. He even checked in on my mom after my dad died to see how she was doing. Stanley always brought such joy, peace, and comfort to both my parents when he came by to check on them. He would pray and sing and they would just smile with happiness. Andre would take such good care of my dad in his cleaning and making sure he had his supplies. We were given Golden Rule Hospice as a useful resource to help with our elderly parents. At first I was hesitant because of the stigma attached to hospice. But once the staff came to our house to talk to us about hospice and how they help it made it easier. When Whitney came to the house to set everything up she was the nicest and most helpful person and was always there for help and support. The nurses that helped our parents were so very compassionate, Penny was amazing and caring to both my mom and dad. She was very supportive and explained everything to us when we had questions. Andre who assisted in showering and shaving our dad was an awesome man that cared about how my dad looked and felt. Nurse Shamilla was so understanding/patience with our multiple medical questions, she answered the phone after hours, emergency visits, and encourage at our lowest moments. Ms. Elizabeth is the best social worker in the world with timely paperwork, DME, and insurance verification and she will call at 4:30pm on Friday to ensure all our request was meet and anything needed before the weekend. From his thorough explanations to his endless patience and genuine kindness, Quay made an emotionally difficult process so much easier to handle. He was always available to answer questions and made sure we felt supported every step of the way. So, if you don't want excellent customer service and true care for your loved ones, you'll be disappointed here. Quay and the team and Golden rule Hospice are the gold standard! 10/10 highly recommend.

I can’t express how wonderful the people are at Golden Rule. My husband’s final days and weeks were the worst time of my life. But because of the loving, Christian care he (and I) received, it was full of love and kindness and every kind of help imaginable. I felt completely surrounded with Christian love and support and I know my husband did too. What a wonderful organization. The team took care of my father for many months in his last days and did a great job. Honestly…. There aren’t enough words😭 My heart is so full! My mother in law had a very short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed July 18th and passed September 7th! When i realized that treatment would’ve done more harm than good we decided that hospice care at home would be the best decision for her. Golden Rule was the right choice for my mother's home hospice care. From intake through to her passing, the team was very compassionate, knowledgeable, extremely patient, and understanding. Minnie, the nursing aide and Shamille, my mom's nurse, were exceptional and went above and beyond in caring for my mom. They ensured her comfort, cleanliness, peace, and dignity in her final days, and treated our family as an extension of their own. This was an extremely difficult time for me trying to balance being a daughter wanting to make the most of the final time spent with her mom, making the right choices to ensure great care, and handling everyday life responsibilities. Inasmuch as one can be prepared for the inevitable and handling death as a natural part of life, I felt that Golden Rule did their very best to try to support us and to ease the anguish, uncertainties, and ambivalence felt during such a challenging time. I would recommend Golden Rule to others who want home hospice care to feel personal and the humanity of their loved one to be recognized and valued.

Golden Rule Hospice went above and beyond taking care of my 93 year old aunt. From the very beginning when her nurse, Penny, walked into her room I knew I had selected the right hospice company for my aunt. Penny was so compassionate and caring when she came to check on my aunt several times a week. If anything came up, I could call and she would take care of it immediately. I know Penny was there for my aunt but she was also there for me. She would send me texts with encouraging words or scripture or just sometimes just to check on me.Another person that played a key roll in my aunts comfort was her CNA, Ebony. The first day I met her, I once again knew that I had chosen the right hospice company. She was so sweet and kind to my aunt and treated her with the upmost respect. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She came three times a week to help my aunt with her ADL's and my aunt always looked forward to her visits.I am so grateful for these two amazing women along with Stanley, her Chaplin. The entire team is wonderful and was a blessing to me with all of their support and guidance. I would highly recommend Golden Rule and feel so very fortunate that I found them.

Vivian R. Is a treasure. The kindness and care she showed my mother, Ellie Pope, brought comfort to our entire family. She showered mom with beautiful jewelry and always ensured that Mom was well dressed and well accessorized! She was incredibly helpful and very specific about things I could do to help my mom. V Vivian worked so well with our other caregiver and we truly miss her. Unfortunately mom was dismissed from Golden Rule Hospice due to Medicare qualification issues. Golden Rule Hospice is an amazing group of people. They cared, not only for my 95 year old Father, but our whole family. The entire team is wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about them but I need to give a special shout out to a few people. Ebony, who saw my Dad 3 days a week brought such joy, smiles, laughter and light during difficult days. We all looked forward to her visits and she shared her love with all of us. Harlee, his nurse, has such a kind and loving spirit. Her ability to effectively communicate and take the time to discuss options and the best path for Dad was a blessing. Stanley, the Chaplin who saw my Dad, made such a positive impact on our family, he officiated my Dad’s memorial service. They provided support, comfort, a shoulder to cry on and guidance as we navigated saying goodbye to the best man I have ever known. Their support did not end with my Dad’s passing. Weeks later they still call and text to check in to see how we are holding up. There are so many more people behind the scenes that we did not see regularly but whose support and guidance was invaluable. I have never encountered a business who employs such an extraordinary group of people. We were so very lucky to have found them.

Golden Rule is AMAZING! From the first phone call to Bobbi Love, we knew Golden Rule was the right choice for our Mama. Little did we know how awesome Penny Crews and her team would be. What a blessing! Penny became our family. She was so sweet to Mama and would sit and hold Mama’s hand and discuss anything Mama was feeling - from medicines to fears and everything in between. Charlotte was so precious giving Mama her bath and fixing her hair- Mamas favorite thing. Mama loved singing hymns with Regina. Sunday would be our nurse on the weekends and after hours- and what a treasure he was. Mama was in Penny’s (Golden Rule) care for about 6 months until she passed away. Penny came to her visitation. There are no words to describe how much Golden Rule, Penny Crews and her team meant (and still mean) to us and what a positive affect they had on the end of my Precious Mama’s life and on our family. Golden Rule Hospice was by our side during the most difficult time near my fathers end of life. I live out of town and they kept me constantly updated about his condition and made sure I made it to see him before his transition. Samara is the Most wonderful hospice caregiver with excellent customer service. She’s on time to her assignment, and her clients can depend on her. She takes really good care of her clients as well with the way she gets them ready for the day. She also has a good caregiver/client relationship, with her care she provides safety. We used Golden Rule Hospice for over a year while my Mom met the eligibility requirements for hospice care…… i can truly say Golden Rule is a phenomenal organization with tremendous caregivers. The entire hospice team assigned to our Mom, in particular her primary care nurse, Penny, were extremely competent professionals and very compassionate in their approach to caring for her. Penny provided us with an update on Mom after every visit and she became like a family member to us. I highly recommend Golden Rule Hospice and have absolutely no reservations in doing so.

Vivian R, CNA, has been providing valuable care for my wife for over 6 months and is an great example of service and dedication to the patient. My wife is in the later stage of dementia and cannot communicate. Vivian works well with the independent caregivers to coordinate to provide a high level of care. She has a very pleasant personality and keeps me informed following each visit.Vivian and Chris the Golden Rule nurse work well as a team and exceed my expectations when i was deciding on a hospice company. Golden Rule is a great choice and everyone on their team has been exemplary.

Vivian R is my Dad's Hospice CNA, and has been taking care of my Dad for a month now. It (Vivian's help) has been wonderful for my Mom who is overwhelmed with all this. Vivian emits confidence and intelligence in her care of my father who is now bed bound and mostly sleeping. She collaborates with my Dad's private duty CNAs, and her knowledge and bedside manner rubs off on them. Golden Rule has been great, from the time Diana RN met with us and admitted Dad, to the consistency of care provided from his primary Hospice Nurse, Penny.

We've just started hospice Care for dad about 10 days ago. Don't know where to start so I'll start with Chris are Nurse. Outstanding communications never fails to respond to text or calls. Whether prescriptions or supplies he's on top of it. Kiera and Joe visited and I swear this happened. Joe asked dad what has kept him going for 89 years. Dad said family and watching nature out his back sliding glass door. Less than 2 minutes later a Doe and fawn walked by. Joe and Kiera couldn't believe it. Dad said "see what I mean". He has really improved with moms' constant care. 12 days ago in the hospital he was close to leaving us. I know this is a short time so far and who know how things will go but we are having more time with Pop than i ever thought we would Thank You Clay

Words can not express how grateful our family is for Golden Rule Hospice. From the first meeting with Dennis until the end of my mother's life, they were the most fantastic group of people!The care and love that our mother received during the last ten months of her life was exceptional.Penny, my mother's nurse, is one of the most amazing women I have ever known. She is a compassionate and caring nurse who loves her job and her patients. Penny was always there to answer any of our family's questions and quickly came up with solutions. She not only cared for my mother, but she listened to the life stories that my mom loved to share. She held my mom's hand and would give her a big ol' hug. She provided excellent care and respected my mom's wishes, even until the end. Penny is like a family member, and we all love her!Chaplain Joe was there to offer the spiritual support my mom and family needed, but he gave so much more of himself. Joe loves like Jesus. My mom loved sharing her faith with all that would listen, and Joe would undoubtedly listen. I can not imagine going through the experience of losing my mother without the support of Chaplain Joe. Our family will never forget the kindness Joe showed our mom and us!Every contact we had from Golden Rule Hospice was outstanding, but a few went above and beyond during this very emotional time of our lives. Thank you to Kiera for reaching out and ensuring our needs were met at all times. Thank you to Sunday for your gentleness with our mom during those last days. And last but certainly not least, thank you to Caroline for taking such loving care of mom and making sure her earthly body was at its best in those final days. Mama was always a classy lady, and you wanted to make sure that she lived up to that until the end.Everyone we dealt with at Golden Rule Hospice has earned a place in our hearts forever! This company made the loss of our father a much less stressful situation than it could have been. They were incredibly compassionate and kind and RESPONSIVE.The nurses were kind and very helpful. We knew exactly what to look for throughout the process.And Chaplain Joe has become a family favorite and in fact, we have reached out to him as we mourn the loss of another family member.Do not hesitate to call this wonderful group of people if you’re experiencing a loss. Your loved one will appreciate the care they receive and you will not believe how light your burden can be made.

Such a great experience with Golden Rule Hospice! The whole staff is so helpful and wonderful about giving updates. Everyone who cared for my mother did their job professionally as well as being friendly and easy to talk to. So very thankful for all of the services including social worker, nurses, CNAs, pastors and office staff among others. My experience with all of these lovely and caring people was beyond exceptional! Our nurse Penny, Minnie, Chaplain Joe, Kiera, and others showed so much compassion as my husband fought so hard from Cancer.
